Wayne Rooney: "I am capable to replace Cristiano Ronaldo and Tevez"

The Manchester United player, Wayne Rooney, said that he could cover the gap left in the team after the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo transferred to Real Madrid, informs the Times online edition.

The Man United forward said that the English team should buy some players after Cristiano Ronaldo left for Real and Carlos Tevez will most likely go to Manchester City. The English sport newspapers wrote that the English champions are interested in buying Luis Antonio Valencia and Karim Benzema.

“We lost two key players and I hope we can bring others. They scored many goals last season but i think I can replace them. If I will be used in the best position I will be able to do that. People think I will perform better in the center forward position and I agree”.

“Cristiano is a great player, he can score from any position, and we knew that he can help us win the games. Now we have to score more goals and I think we can do this” said the Manchester United player.
